  1. ARTIST PROFILE: LARRY LARIMER
  2.  
  3. Larry Larimer discovered his love of photography while serving with the 
  4. U.S. Army in Japan. He learned the craft as an assistant to Bill Hedrich at 
  5. Hedrich-Blessing, Ken Schmid Studio, and Shigeta Wright and worked for 
  6. Business Arts in Chicago before starting his own studio in 1989. He has 
  7. worked to develop electronic and mechanical means of controlling splashes 
  8. and pours and uses these methods to produce his images for clients, 
  9. including Dow Chemical, Kellogg's, Dewar's Scotch, Jim Beam, Dole, and 
  10. Amoco. Larimer's work has appeared in such national magazines as Life, 
  11. Time, Better Homes and Gardens, and McCall's and has won awards from 
  12. the Chicago Artists' Guild and Communication Arts magazine.
